Basic Pistol Certification

Safety, Knowledge, Skills, and Maintenance

This class is recommended for those first-time gun owners with limited experience with handguns. The class is low-stress and instructed with an understanding that everyone in class is at a basic level or a refresher-level. This class is a great confidence/competence booster for those that may also want to apply for the Texas License To Carry permit.

• Building Pistol Shooting Skills; Stance, Grip, Correct Sight Picture, Sight Alignment, Breath Control, and Trigger Pull
• Clearing Malfunctions
• Pistol Maintenance and Securing the Pistol
• Shooting

The classroom portion of this training is conducted in a class setting in 1 day. Based on class size and participants home of record, the shooting portion can be conducted on the same day or within a couple of days post classroom training. Upon completion, you will be certified as a Basic Pistol Certified user. Free loaner guns are available for class if needed. Bring your own ammunition of 9mm or .45 if using the loaner guns as both 9mm and .45 are available for use.
